Suspect fires shots during attempted robbery at gas station in Dauphin County, police report

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A gas station in Highspire was robbed twice within the past month, and police are asking for the public’s help in trying to find the suspect who is accused of firing shots during one of the incidents.

In the most recent robbery Wednesday night around 9:45 p.m., the suspect fired three shots from a handgun while inside the Highland Mart Fuel Market before leaving the scene, Highspire Borough Police said in a news release. The employee was not injured.

Police said there was another similar incident at the gas station on Aug. 21, when the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money, before getting the cash and getting away before 10 p.m. In this armed robbery, no shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

Photos of the suspect that police provided show a person dressed in all black, wearing a sweatshirt that says “I (heart) MY GIRLFRIEND” during the second incident. In the first incident, they were wearing a red hooded Adidas sweatshirt, long black pants, and a black ski mask.
