DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A meet-up to buy an iPhone in the parking lot of a Harrisburg-area Dunkin’ turned violent when police say a minor was robbed and dragged through the lot by a truck.
Etinne Jackson, 19, and Mahogny Dennis, 18, both of Harrisburg, are facing charges after allegedly stealing cash from the young buyer, and then taking off with the victim’s arm caught in the truck’s window, according to the charges from Lower Paxton Township Police.
Colonial Park Mall closed for fourth consecutive day following storm
The juvenile male victim was trying to buy an iPhone 14 that was put up for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and arraigned to meet on September 15 at the Dunkin’ on Union Deposit Road.
According to the criminal complaint, a black vehicle being driven by Jackson arrived at the coffee shop and did two laps around the lot before stopping next to the buyer, who noticed that the truck wasn’t in park, near the front of the store.
The $260 in the buyer’s hand was snatched from Dennis, who was the passenger, police said. The buyer then tried to reach into the truck and grab the phone, but the window closed, causing him to become stuck.
