The unnamed child was taken in a private vehicle to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township on Sunday, Oct. 6, according to PSP Troopers in Carlisle.
The preliminary investigation has led PA State Police to believe the child was shot in Carroll Township, York County, although the investigation remains active.
There is no threat to the public, according to PSP.
