State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans, a Democrat, is facing Republican challenger Jasmine Rivera for the race for the 95th state House seat in the Nov. 5 election.
The 95th District covers the City of York; North York and West York boroughs; and Spring Garden Township.

Hill-Evans, who is seeking her fifth term in office, said she is running again because of unfinished work. Legislators ran out of time on issues because they could not reach a consensus on what and how it needed to be done.
The first priority would be increasing the minimum wage.
She also is seeking to address equitable funding for education. Last year, the state Commonwealth Court ruled the state funding for schools is unconstitutional and must be reformed.
