Cumberland County unveils van that will deliver books to events

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — In one part of the Midstate books can now come to you.

Bosler Memorial Library in Carlisle has unveiled it’s new van – “Bosler on the go.” It will go to community gatherings, summer camps, and festivals for story time and book distributions, among other things.

It’s a project that has been years in the making.

“It’s incredibly exciting,” executive director Jeffrey Swope said. “I’ve been here about ten years, going on a little over ten years. And we’ve been talking about the possibility of this day for a very, very long time, probably most of those years. And that opportunity to help the public understand that we’re not just a building that you come to, that we’re part of the community.”

The mobile library was paid for with donor dollars.
