Five in custody after occupied Columbia Borough home shot, police say

COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) — Five people are in custody after an occupied house in Columbia Borough on Friday was shot, and police are investigating.

Several shots were fired in the 400 block of Avenue K around 1:30 p.m., hitting a house, Columbia Borough Police said in a news release. Officers found multiple casings at the scene.

No one was injured, police said.

While on scene, it was learned that the suspects ran into a home in the 200 block of S. 4th Street, so police surrounded the home, and an officer made announcements over a loud speaker.

The five people were then eventually taken into police custody. An investigation is ongoing.
