Somerset sophomore Emily Fisher ran an 18:37 at the PIAA Class 2A girls’ cross country championships to capture a silver medal on Saturday in Hershey.
Fisher earned a bronze medal as a freshman. She bettered her time from a year ago by 37 seconds.
Virginia Kraus, a junior from Saucon Valley claimed gold in a time of 18:18.
Fisher also has a pair of second place finishes in the LHAC and District 5-8 2A meets this year.
The Richland girls finished seventh in the Class 1A team standings.
