Pennsylvania voters hit the polls early in the Midstate

(WHTM)– Nearly two million Pennsylvanians voted by mail in the 2024 general election. Still, the remainder of Pennsylvania’s nearly 9 million voters are hitting the polls today to get out and exercise their right to vote.

Some Midstate residents hit the polls early this morning. A photo shared with abc27 this morning showed a line of early risers at one Hampden Township polling location at 6:40 a.m. this morning.

Voters were also reported to be lining up as early as 6:00 a.m. at the First Assembly Church of God in Susquehanna Township.

Results from the 2024 election will begin to be available starting at 8 p.m. on election night, however, due to the number of mail ballots and expected turnout, it’s possible election results will not be fully known on November 5.

In-person voters can find their polling places by visiting the Pennsylvania Department of State’s Voter Services website.
