ELECTION DAY: Partly Cloudy, Warm & Breezy. Hi 75. Winds: S 10-15 mph.
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy, Breezy & Mild. Lo 62. Winds: S 10-15 mph. Gusts to 25 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Near Record Warmth, Breezy. Hi 80. Winds: SW 5-15 mph.
Today is Election Day and the weather won’t be a story locally. It will be warm and breezy ahead of a cold front that will move through on Wednesday. Expect plenty of sunshine today with just a few passing clouds. Highs will be in the mid-70s this afternoon. Tonight will stay mild and breezy with lows in the 60s! Tomorrow will bring more clouds as the front approaches, but rain chances look bleak other than a sprinkle or two. Highs could approach records tomorrow as temperatures should be around 80° tomorrow afternoon. The record high tomorrow is 77° set in 1948. It’s very doable to break the record high tomorrow.
Behind the front, Thursday and Friday will feature highs in the 60s with lots of sunshine. It will stay dry and pleasant through Saturday with a bit of a cool-down for the weekend. Drought conditions continue to be a problem and it’s something we’re monitoring. There are signs of enhanced shower potential by Sunday night and next Monday with a brief front, but will that front also dry up before it moves through? It’s possible. Promising rain at any point in the extended forecast is a fool’s errand as drought begets drought. When we see a decent signal for meaningful rain, we’ll let you know.
