THURSDAY: AM Clouds, PM Sun, Breezy. Hi 70. Winds: NW 5-15 mph.

It’s a mild start to this post-Election Day Wednesday and it will only get warmer from here. Some sunshine will start the day, but clouds will follow as a cold front marches toward Central PA. Warm air ahead of that front will likely help the region set a record high today. The record is 77° set in 1948. Today’s forecast: 80°! A stray shower is possible today and tonight, but don’t count on it. It will be quite breezy too. Lows will also stay mild tonight, around 60°. Tomorrow will start with clouds and maybe another quick shower or two. There will be sunshine by the afternoon though as temperatures stay mild. Tomorrow’s highs will still be near 70°.

Friday will feature highs in the 60s with lots of sunshine. It will stay dry and pleasant through Saturday with a bit of a cool-down for the weekend. Drought conditions continue to be a problem. Showers are possible Sunday night into Monday, but rain amounts are likely to be insignificant. Maybe 0.25″ at best. We’ll continue to monitor rain chances and keep you posted.
