Cumberland County diner closes after 15 years

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) — A locally owned diner in Cumberland County announced earlier this week that it has closed its doors after 15 years of operation.

John’s Diner , a long-time staple located at 146 Sheraton Drive in New Cumberland, just announced earlier this week that they have closed their doors after being in operation for the past 15 years.

According to John’s Diner, their lease for their location on Sheraton Drive is ending at the end of December, and the landlord of the property found a new tenant to “start right away”.

John’s Diner officially closed down on Wednesday, November 6.

“After 15 years proudly serving the Central Pennsylvania Community we will be sadly closing our doors on November 6th,” John’s Diner said on Facebook . “We would like to thank all of our amazing customers and staff who over all these years have all become family.”

The long-time John’s Diner is owned and operated by the Politsopoulos family, who are also the owners of the Greek-style Yianni’s Gyros , which first debuted in Central Pennsylvania back in 2022.
