Shila Ulrich, who has led the Palmyra-based Caring Cupboard, dedicated to ending food insecurity in Lebanon County, has been named the new president of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Organizers said Ulrich will assume her role at the Food Bank in January 2025.
Caring Cupboard organizers said Ulrich will be bringing nearly two decades of experience and a deep commitment to hunger relief and community support to the statewide nonprofit organization. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is a nonprofit organization committed to ending hunger in 27 counties across central Pennsylvania.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege to serve The Caring Cupboard and work alongside an exceptional team dedicated to addressing hunger and building hope in our community,” Ulrich said in a release Thursday evening. “I am incredibly grateful to our partners, supporters and the entire Lebanon County community for their unwavering support, and I look forward to expanding my work to end hunger across Central Pennsylvania.”
