LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police say they’ve identified a young female who was found dead more than 50 years ago.
State Police in Jonestown said on October 10, 1973, two Game Wardens discovered the decomposed remains of a young female in a wooded area off Moonshine Road near Ridge and Tomstown Roads in Union Township.

At the time, officials say the remains were found under a plastic tarp and brush.
The victim was described as a white female with long brown and/or blonde hair, approximately 5’3″ and 5’6″ with a thin to average build. An age was not disclosed by State Police.
Her identity had been unknown for years, however through various investigative efforts the victim has been identified. State Police are set to announce the identity next week at a news conference.
