LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – It’s not too late to find the perfect Christmas tree. Stauffers of Kissel Hill is offering free trees at six of its locations.
Many people were surprised when they entered the Home & Garden area to find a sign explaining that Monday and Tuesday the store was giving away free trees.
“I couldn’t afford a tree at the beginning of the season so I waited and was hoping to find one maybe half off or something like that,” Zoe Cargas of Brownstown said.
Cargas wanted to have that real tree feel in her home. Last year, she took a bush out of her lawn and substituted that for a Christmas tree. Cargas was merry to find out the news that she would get her tree without sacrificing a penny.
“It’s the best thing that happened to me because my son’s like, ‘when are we getting that tree,’” Cargas said.
Stauffers of Kissel Hill has hundreds of trees that can be picked up, netted and put on a vehicle.
“It’s a great feeling because when you come in and you can give a tree to somebody or help their holiday be a little more bright, it’s a good feeling inside,” Anthony Tossona, the general manager for the Home & Garden Center at the company’s Lititz location, said.
