Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania: Heavy Snow Creating Hazardous Travel Conditions

Binghamton, NY – A fast-moving band of heavy snow is sweeping across parts of central New York and northern Pennsylvania this morning, creating hazardous travel conditions with sudden drops in visibility and gusty winds.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, the snow band was observed at 6:08 a.m. EST, stretching from Richmondville, NY, to Candor, NY, moving southeast at 45 mph. Winds within the snow band are reaching up to 30 mph, rapidly reducing visibility to less than one mile.
