Lancaster judge denies bail for man convicted in 2014 bar shooting while he awaits new trial

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster County judge this week denied bail to a Manor Township man who was convicted of shooting another man to death in a Lancaster bar while he awaits a retrial in the case.

Lamar Douglas Clark’s request for bail was denied by Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn at a hearing on Tuesday, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said.

In handing down his ruling, Spahn wrote that it was “substantially more likely than not” that Clark “presents a danger to any person or the community.”…
