Wawa’s westward push across Pennsylvania could soon include Carlisle

CARLISLE – Carlisle looks poised to be another battleground in the expanding turf war between Wawa and Sheetz.

A development firm has applied to the borough for a zoning special exception that would clear the way for a new Wawa store on part of the old and vastly under-performing Point at Carlisle Plaza retail complex.

Plans show the new store is planned for a four-acre tract bounded by Giant Lane, York Road, East High Street and an existing McDonald’s restaurant…
