Olde York Street Fair returns after five-year absence

YORK, Pa. — The Olde York Street Fair returned to Continental Square in downtown York after a five-year absence to restore a 50-year Mother’s Day tradition.

The fair, which was first held in 1977, saw dozens of nonprofit groups serve as vendors, and hundreds of York residents returned with fond memories of attending the fair in the past.

“I was out with my mom, and it was a tradition for us for 30 years,” said York Mayor Michael Helfrich. “So, to have this back after five years really means a lot, and I think we made a lot of happy moms and families today.”…
