How much of a washout was May across Pa.? Take a look at some of the numbers

If you live in central and eastern Pennsylvania and feel like the rain never stopped falling in May, there’s a reason for that.

Not only did Harrisburg set a rainfall record in May, but a look at the daily data shows very few days where at least a trace of rainfall wasn’t recorded.

The total of 10.02 inches recorded at Harrisburg International Airport was well over twice the norm for the month (3.83 inches) and broke a record (9.71 inches) that was set in 1989. Maybe even more remarkable is that rain was recorded on 25 of the 31 days last month…
