Local police department issues warning for residents after series of break-ins

CAMP HILL, Pa. — A Central Pennsylvania police department issued another reminder to residents about the importance of keeping their cars locked after receiving a series of reports about thefts of property and vehicle break-ins.

According to police in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, these types of thefts have been occurring sporadically across the region for more than a year.

“In some cases, unlocked vehicles have been entered and have had the ignition keys left inside of them which led to them being stolen,” the police department said. “Cash, computers, guns, and other personal property have been stolen by this method from vehicles parked in Camp Hill in the overnight hours.”…
