Rescue successful after I-283 crash sends person down 50-foot embankment

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A late-night crash on Interstate 283 sent a vehicle 50 feet down a steep embankment into the woods, according to Harrisburg Bureau of Fire.

Fire crews responded to the crash, which happened in the northbound lanes near mile marker 1.5, around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
