Hundreds of Cleveland-Cliff employees receive unemplyoment, career assistance after Steelton closure

STEELTON, Pa. (WHTM) — The Shapiro Administration is continuing to help hundreds of workers impacted by the recent layoffs by Cleveland-Cliffs in Steelton.

The Shapiro Admin. reports that more than 300 workers who were laid off have attended Rapid Response Information Meetings that are hosted by the state’s Department of Labor & Industry.

During those meetings, workers are given information to help them transition careers and also to help them with Unemployment Compensation guidance, and take a look at health insurance options and additional local and state resources.
