Two arrested for allegedly assaulting tow truck driver in York County

YORK, Pa. — A New York man and a Maryland woman were arrested in York County on June 27 for allegedly assaulting a tow truck driver attempting to move their disabled vehicle off the road.

Pennsylvania State Police York dispatchers noticed a vehicle that broke down on the I-83 Exit 14 (Leader Heights) exit ramp on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) cameras. People were seen getting out of their cars and walking around on the Interstate.

Around 9:40 p.m., a tow truck employee with York County Automotive was asked by dispatchers to tow the broken-down vehicle for safety purposes…
