WEST GOSHEN — Animals rescued from the recent deadly flooding in the Hill Country of Texas have made their way to the Delaware Valley, thanks to representatives of three area animal care agencies.
In a press release, the Brandywine Valley SPCA, Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, and Animal Adoption Center said they had answered the call to help by welcoming two separate rescue flights of pets from impacted areas.
On Friday, one of the first rescue flights carrying homeless shelter animals out of the destruction to our area arrived in Delaware. The BVSPCA has committed to welcoming at least 20 dogs and puppies from this first flight, made possible by the Bissell Pet Foundation.
