One person dead after I-81 crash in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– One person died after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on I-81 in Dauphin County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred on I-81 North near mile marker 68.5 in Susquehanna Township at 10:58 p.m. on July 14. Police said there was an active work zone in the area with two lanes closed.

The lane closure caused a long traffic queue. Police said a 2014 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound in an undetermined forward-moving lane behind a tractor-trailer.
