Low-flying helicopter operating in Midstate Pennsylvania today

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– York County residents might see a low-flying helicopter spraying brown liquid across multiple Midstate Counties today.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, an aerial black fly suppression operation will once again be spraying creeks across the Midstate on July 22. Officials say operations are scheduled on the Juniata River, Aughwick Creek, Tuscarora Creek, Conodoguinet Creek, Conewago Creek, Sherman Creek, and Swatara Creek.

The York County, PA, Office of Emergency Management announced that the operation will begin at 7 a.m. and will include flights in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, and York counties…
