For six years, Harrisburg has been trying to reduce the number of people seriously hurt or killed on its streets through a program known as Vision Zero.
Harrisburg’s policy was put into motion by former Mayor Eric Papenfuse in November 2018 as an answer to bicyclist, pedestrian and motorist deaths in the city after four pedestrians and a bicyclist were killed in a 17-month span on State Street. The goal?
