Charges filed in fiery multi-vehicle SR 283 crash that injured 5

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A tractor-trailer driver from a fiery multi-vehicle crash on State Route 283 near the Dauphin and Lancaster County lines this past winter was charged Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Norman Kuntz, 43, of Hummelstown, faces multiple charges from the crash on SR 283 in Londonderry Township on Jan. 10 that injured five people, State Police at Harrisburg said in the charges filed.

State Police said in charging documents that a Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit was able to determine the crash happened when Kuntz crossed the median in his Peterbilt tractor-trailer into the opposing traffic, hitting two other vehicles.
