Man, 20, who drove to school after fatally hitting 77-year-old gets 1-3 year sentence

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A man will spend up to three years in jail for driving away after he struck and killed a 77-year-old woman.

On Wednesday, Zachary Werner, 20, of Lebanon was sentenced to a minimum of one to a maximum of three years behind bars, according to online court records.

Werner previously pleaded guilty to six charges, including homicide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter, after the hit-and-run killed 77-year-old Casimira Pakola in April of 2024…
