Driver sentenced for deadly Harrisburg hit-and-run crash

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A driver who left the scene after he hit and killed a man standing next to a broken-down vehicle in Harrisburg was sentenced in July.

Dylan Haines, 33, of Palmyra, was sentenced by Judge Deborah Curcillo to spend between three and six years in prison, online court records show.

Haines previously pleaded guilty in April to a felony charge of accident involving death or personal injury as well as to a summary charge of failure to notify police of an accident involving injury or death. A summary charge of carless driving – causing an unintentional death was withdrawn.
