Police charged a 39-year-old Maryland man with felony robbery after a failed heist at a York County M&T Bank on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers were dispatched at 4 p.m. to the M&T Bank on East Forrest Avenue in Shrewsbury after a reported robbery attempt involving a man who had entered the bank dressed in women’s clothing, court documents said.
The bank employee said when the man entered the bank, she called him over and asked how she could help him. The man went to a table in the center of the room, grabbed an envelope, walked towards the woman and said “withdraw,” according to the affidavit…
