3 people jailed for 2022 Swatara Township shooting that injured 2 young girls

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Three people will serve more than 25 years in prison for their roles in a shooting that injured two young girls — nearly killing one of them — in Swatara Township in 2022.

According to Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo, Brianna Smith, 27, and Michael Roberts, Jr., 31, were convicted by a Dauphin County jury in June for their roles in the incident, which occurred on August 11, 2022, on the 4900 block of Cumberland Street.

Kani Little, 27, pleaded guilty and took responsibility for his role in the shooting after taking the stand on the fifth day of the trial to rebut the testimony of Smith, who claimed she was taken to the scene of the shooting under duress.
