Harrisburg, Pa. — A Mexican man will spend several months in prison after officials discovered he’d re-entered the country illegally.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced 44-year-old Leonardo Mendoza-Zavala, was sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment last week on a charge of illegal reentry.
According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, following convictions in Texas for attempt to take a weapon from an officer, resisting arrest, and terroristic threats, Mendoza-Zavala was removed from the United States on January 6, 2020, through Laredo, Texas.
