Multiple brush fires ignite along Route 283 in central Pa.

Several brush fires were put out along a more than three-mile stretch of Route 283 westbound in Lancaster and Dauphin counties on Saturday night, Lancaster County dispatch confirmed.

Units were dispatched around 8 p.m. and left the scene about an hour later. There was a fire reported at mile marker 15.6 in Lancaster County, and also around mile marker 19.

Dispatch told PennLive on Sunday there were several small fires that ignited on the grass, but it was hard to tell how many because they burned into each other…
