A Middletown woman stabbed a man in the back Saturday after waving a kitchen knife around because she “just wanted to scare him,” police said.
Betty Chapman, 44, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment by Middletown Police. The incident happened in the 400 block of Wilson Street.
Around 7 p.m. on Aug. 30, Chapman called Dauphin County communications and said she stabbed a man with a knife. When police arrived, Chapman said she had been waving a kitchen knife around in an attempt to scare the man, whom she knew, during an argument.
