Men allegedly burglarized shuttered Steelton steel mill

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The closed Cleveland Cliffs steel mill in Steelton was burglarized Friday night, police said.

Court documents filed by Steelton Police show 48-year-old Chad Gsell, of Carlisle, and 47-year-old Timothy Crosson Jr., of Mechanicsburg, are accused of trying to steal items from the mill.

Officers find suspects after breaching the building

The duo was allegedly spotted in the mill maintenance shop building on surveillance video by a Cleveland Cliffs fire/EMS employee around 11:30 p.m., police said. After arriving, officers set up a perimeter around the building before breaching.

Court documents detail that once officers entered the building, they found Crosson, who surrendered to police, and Gsell, who was found hiding in the rafters on the second floor…
