Harrisburg man charged after fleeing police in high-speed chase, injuring two in wrong-way crash

LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A Harrisburg man was charged after allegedly fleeing police in a high-speed chase on I-83 Monday night and crashing into an occupied truck while under the influence.

Nyceire Coiley, 18, of Harrisburg, was arrested and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, among other misdemeanor charges, after authorities witnessed him crashing his vehicle into a truck, according to the Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police.

The bureau states that on September 15, at 11:30 p.m., officers observed a dark blue Honda CR-V traveling westbound on Union Deposit Road near the Rutherford Road intersection, driving recklessly at high speeds with no rear lighting. Police activated sirens to conduct a traffic stop, but police say the vehicle failed to yield and instead maintained its high rate of speed…
