Messiah University Student Killed In Train Crash: Coroner

A Messiah University student was struck and killed by a train near the South Gate entrance to campus in Upper Allen Township on Friday, Sept. 19, authorities announced.

Emergency crews were called at 10:48 a.m. to the 400 block of Grantham Road for a pedestrian struck by a train, according to Upper Allen Township Police.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Brendan James Heisey of Elizabethtown, a Messiah University student, the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office said.
