York County teens pack 2,000 food boxes for seniors and Pennsylvania Dairy Princesses raise $22,000

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Tonight’s Hometown Heroes are two groups of young people both using their time to help families in need.

Teen Volunteers

The York County Food Bank welcomed 68 teens from York and Lancaster counties who helped pack food boxes for seniors.

The teens are with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They organized the service project packing over 2,000 food boxes.

Pennsylvania Dairy Princesses

This year’s Pennsylvania Dairy Princesses helped raise $22,000 for the annual Fill a Glass with Hope program.
