‘It didn’t surprise me’: Person claiming to know police shooter shares opinion

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A person claiming to know the gunman who killed three York County detectives and injured two other officers is revealing an alleged history that they believe contributed to the motive in the tragedy.

The person, who wants to remain anonymous, said it’s unfortunate but not shocking that 24-year-old Matthew Ruth opened fire on the law enforcement officers serving a warrant on Wednesday.
