HARRISBURG, Pa. — Almost three weeks after tragedy, a six-year-old boy and his family are celebrating coming home.
The family of Faiz Sharif — the boy who was seriously injured at the Kipona Festival on Sept. 1 — was joined by friends and classmates in welcoming Faiz home after a lengthy stay in the hospital.
“It was overwhelming,” Sajeel Shah, Faiz’ uncle said. “The road is very long, there’s still a long journey to go, but seeing him turn the corner and see all of his friends, the commotion, the cheering, the signs — I think it was really, really touching.”…
