A six-year-old boy, Faiz Shafir, who was critically injured during the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has been released from the hospital. On Friday (September 19), a crowd of family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to welcome Faiz home. He had been in the hospital since Labor Day (September 1) after a vehicle drove into the festival, injuring him and two others. Faiz underwent multiple emergency surgeries for severe injuries, including a fractured pelvis and broken bones.

The driver, identified as 37-year-old Elizabeth Ann Bohrer, allegedly drove a red minivan through barricades into the crowd. She faces several charges, including driving under the influence (DUI) and aggravated assault by vehicle.
