Troopers identify Harrisburg man, 33, who bystanders tried to save after fiery I-83 crash

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Pennsylvania State Police have released the identity of a driver killed in a fiery crash on I-83 just over a week ago.

Marco Ambrocio Gonzalez, 33, of Harrisburg was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, which happened the morning of Sept. 28 in Fairview Township, according to a news release from troopers and the coroner’s report.

The county corner said the 33-year-old was exiting the Interstate using Exit 40A when he left the road and went up onto a concrete barrier, which ruptured the fuel tank and caused a fire that quickly engulfed the vehicle…
