Owner charged after dog attacks unsuspecting neighbor in Cumberland County

A 31-year-old Carlisle man was charged Wednesday after his dog broke through a fence earlier this year and attacked a man next door, biting through the neighbor’s calf muscle against his bone.

The neighbor suffered puncture wounds and cuts to the top of his left foot and along the middle of his calf near his knee.

The 42-year-old victim couldn’t walk for two months and had to undergo painful rabies vaccination shots because the dog had not gotten its booster, he told PennLive. Rabies is a fatal disease…
