The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.
Al Noor Food Market, 531 Cumberland St. Lebanon, October 17. Fail. The date being printed from the deli scale was off by one day. Packages of frozen sausage and a package of frozen chicken did not have labels on the packages to identify the product. The person in charge stated that these items were for his personal use; however, they were in freezers in the customer self-service area of the facility. The facility is cutting meat on the slicer; however, the facility is only cleaning the slicer one time per day instead of every four hours. Toilet tissue is not available in the employee toilet room. This was noted on the Inspection Report for 2/10/2025. Facility does not have sanitizer available. This was noted on the Inspection Report for 2/10/2025. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. This was noted on the Inspection Report for 2/10/2025. There were no towels at the handwashing sink in the toilet room or at the handwashing sink in the food service area. Facility has installed several additional pieces of refrigeration equipment. There are extension cords being used in order to operate this equipment which is a violation of City Codes. The upper floors of the facility have residential apartments. The owner of the structure will need to correct this type of safety hazard and verify if the food facility has deviated from the plans that were approved when a Certificate of Occupancy was obtained.
