Harrisburg leaders to provide free meals during SNAP freeze

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Local leaders are seeking to assist those in need as the government shutdown continues and SNAP benefits remain frozen.

Members of the Harrisburg City Council are preparing to serve dinners to families who don’t have enough to eat. Beginning this evening, community members feeling the impact of the freeze are welcome to take advantage of a hot meal.
