Chief Assessor Randy Waggoner reported that the county’s long-awaited reassessment appeal hearings were nearing completion. He expressed optimism that most property owners would see their taxes decrease or remain the same under the forthcoming revenue-neutral millage rate.
During their Oct. 20 meeting, county commissioners praised Waggoner’s team for conducting more than 60 appeal hearings in a single week and for maintaining professionalism throughout the process.
