Dauphin County cat found with dart sticking out of head

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Dauphin County cat was named Dart after he was shot with one in the head, and a local rescue funded his surgery through donations.

A person who was out walking their dog came upon the cat and was able to turn it over to Castaway Critters in Harrisburg.

“So somebody was walking their dog and the cat just approached her with this massive dart hanging out of his head,” operations manager for Castaway Critters Jessica Walton said. “And she contacted Find Toby, who has some volunteers. Ah, that work with Castaway Critters. And they called me immediately and we got a plan of action.”…
