Pennsylvania Turnpike reaches milestone in cashless transition

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — More of the Pennsylvania Turnpike continues to go cashless.

PennDOT has been expanding open road tolling in the state, a cashless way to collect tolls where drivers continue straight through sensors that collect information to determine a toll rate. This information includes vehicle size and the number of axles.
