Already several months into their ownership of The Winery at Hunters Valley in Perry County, Amber and Bryan Keister have their holiday schedule all planned out.
Here are the highlights:
- Fireside & Flatbreads – Saturday, Nov. 15, a cozy fall afternoon with wine, a warm fire pit, and freshly baked flatbreads (Italian and BBQ Pulled Pork options).
- 2025 Susquehanna Heartland Christmas Wine Trail – Nov. 22 to Dec. 7, celebrate the season along the Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail with complimentary tastings and festive treats. Tickets are $20 per person.
- Holiday Lights Vineyard Walk – Saturday, Dec. 13, 6 to 9 p.m., take an evening stroll through the vineyard, which will be beautifully illuminated with holiday lights. Includes a four-wine and dessert pairing, cozy fire pits, and live music. Tickets: $40 per person, 21+ only, which includes a wine glass to take home. - Sips & Sweets Market – Saturday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a holiday shopping and tasting event featuring local bakers and sweet makers. Enjoy holiday cocktails, mulled wine, and hot chocolate with cookies, cupcakes, and candies. Family-friendly and festive! The winery is still looking for vendors. - Paint & Sip – Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Man – Sunday, Dec. 21, noon to 3 p.m., a cozy paint and sip event on a 16-inch-round wooden canvas with a Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Man design. Includes all supplies and a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Food available for purchase. $45 per person.
The winery, at 3 Orchard Road, is open daily. It offers more than 30 dry and sweet wines and seltzers for purchase, which range in price from $13.99 to $19.99. Among the favorites are Susquehanna River Red (a sweet & spicy blend of Concord & Niagara grapes), Pinot Grigio, and Wildberry Rain (a sweet red wine that brings together the flavors of strawberry, blueberry and blackberry).
Amber said these first couple of months have been a great deal of fun for both of them.
“It has been really amazing meeting everyone in the community and seeing the winery really come alive with events,” she said, adding that they have a lot in the works for 2026, including some new seasonal events…
